Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the United Nations' fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which centers on the quality of education within Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) for the 2030 agenda. Aligned with the guiding principles of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, the research underscores the imperative of ensuring the sustainable delivery of quality education to future generations. Employing a qualitative approach, Senior Faculty Members and Experts underwent interviews using an open-ended protocol to elucidate measures taken for sustainability. Thematic analysis uncovered a readiness among Senior Faculty Members and Experts to implement SDGs at the university level, despite recognizing challenges such as resource limitations and the need for additional specialized.
